Orianna Fielding is an international author, multi disciplinary designer and broadcaster.
Her work has been featured extensively in international publications, including The Sunday Times, Huffington Post, Marie Claire, Metro, Psychologies, Elle Decoration, Wallpaper, World of Interiors, AD, La Vanguardia, L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui, Casa Viva, and Financial Times.
As a designer, Orianna launched an innovative company specialising in both contemporary furniture and interior design in 1994, before opening her first showroom and design practice, ‘Pure Living’, in Shoreditch in 1999.
In 2000 Orianna was invited by Selfridges to open a concept lifestyle ‘store within a store’. ‘Pure Living Lounge’ was one of the first pioneers of mixing contemporary fashion, interiors, furniture, art and accessories with choice vintage pieces, and went on to have a cult following at Selfridges for three years.
In 2003 she launched an international design consultancy in London, specialising in intelligent, directional design and attracting a celebrity clientele, which further established Orianna Fielding as a prominent player in the contemporary design arena.
Orianna has appeared on numerous television programmes as a designer and tastemaker including: GMTV, Style World, Fantasy Rooms, This Morning, Ideal Home, and Better Homes, and was for several years the resident interior design and lifestyle host on UK cult daytime show Richard & Judy. She co-presented the highly successful interiors programme 60 Minute Makeover as an interior designer and host for Granada TV and appeared as a celebrity guest on the C5 series 20 Best Interiors.
As an author she has written several books: two interior design books, ‘Lofts: Living in space’, and ‘Modern Eclectic’ and her latest book ‘UNPLUGGED: How to live mindfully in a digital world’ was published in 2015, and will be re-printed in January 2017 as ‘The Essential Digital Detox Plan’.
Inspired by her own life experience Orianna has in recent years, spent time exploring the relationship between design, sustainability and wellbeing.
In 2009 Orianna launched her acclaimed sustainable design blog 'finding eco' which has had over 80,000 views.
She spent several years researching the negative impact of our digital over-connection, through extensive research and in-depth consultation with leading experts in the fields of Mindfulness, Psychology and Wellness. This focus on finding new ways to live consciously led her to found The Digital Detox Company, which provides a Digital Wellness programme based on the practices in her book ‘Unplugged’, and provides a unique, life-changing Digital Wellness Course for individuals and corporate clients.
